Sa-Shai Daniels' Portfolio

We made mud cloths using abstract symbols to represent trade on a personal level. Then we used the finished mud cloth to make a sculpture of a concrete symbol that represented trade on an international level. I struggled to think of abstract symbols to represent trade. I learned what mud cloths were traditionally used for. After doing this project I have a better understanding of traditional African culture. This project was an example of communication and collaboration. This was a group project and we always had to make sure that we were listening to other people's ideas. We had to work together to achieve our goals. If we hadn't consulted with each other before making big decisions the whole project would have been a disaster.
