Persistence

Persistence means to never give up until the job is done. It's probably the least fun of all the qualities but definitely one of the most important ones. Procrastination is like a drug it feels good but the consequences aren't worth it. Persistence takes practice which is ironic because you have to persist to persist. Sometimes finishing work can feel like walking through quick sand. The important thing to remember is that persistence is more rewarding than procrastination. Persistence is one of those life skills that you have to put up with in order to reach your goal, but the truth is we all wish we could procrastinate and push things off until a later time. I had to persist in order to get through the unit we did on algebra tiles and generic rectangles because math

has never been something that comes naturally to me. I have to work twice as hard in math class as all of my friend (the price you pay for smart friends) and that's something I've had to deal with my entire life. I'm not the most talented person in the world but I am a hard worker and I've always had to push myself. So even though I'm still not the best at math, I've become an expert on persistence.
